Overview
A Lambeth residential building gaining a new third floor and a full internal reconfiguration into six apartments, delivered on a twelve-month programme.
The challenge
Building upwards on an existing structure meant the existing load paths had to be verified before design could be fixed, and the works sit directly on a busy street frontage.
How we delivered it
Structural capacity was established from measured survey first, so the extension design was buildable from the outset. Internal strip-out ran in parallel with the new floor structure to protect the programme.
